Application Specialist

Do you have the talent to bring your technical and commercial skills into play generating and assessing new concepts? And do you want to participate in international research and pilot projects? Then you could be our next Application Specialist. You will join the Application Centre of Danfoss District Energy where we build up knowledge of systems, applications and components for district heating solutions. Your location of work will be Nordborg or Aarhus or alternatively another of our global locations.
 
Strengthen District Energy's market position and organisation
Your job will involve three main areas. Firstly, you become our internal consultant on solutions regarding various applications for the Global Sales and Product Management organisation. This entails supporting our contacts and coordinating with external consultants when developing solutions for district energy projects. Secondly, you will:

• help position district heating as an important factor in the future energy infrastructure
• generate and assess new district heating concepts - technically and economically
• participate in international research and pilot projects with external partners

Thirdly, you help strengthen the organisation in application-related technical issues by facilitating sharing of application knowledge with colleagues, partners and customers. To this end, you also participate in cross-organisational R&D projects and conduct web-based application training. You can look forward to solving tasks in collaboration with e.g. international project teams, external partners and knowledge centres.
 
Mechanical or Energy Engineer passionate about technical challenges
You have a Master's degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering specialised in e.g. energy technology, thermodynamics, control theory and/or fluid mechanics.
 
Preferably, you have some years' professional experience as a consultant or from employment at a technological institute or university, where you have dealt with relevant topics. You are passionate about solving technical challenges, and you work systematically in order to achieve the best possible results. You also value and practice the sharing of knowhow with your colleagues in a way that both you and they can benefit from. Finally, you master English at an advanced level and are able to present technical issues in an easily understandable manner.
